Climate: Semi-arid & sunny, with average temperatures
of 70-80 degrees
year round. The island receives an average of 35 inches of rainfall
annually, much between the months of October through December. For the
most part, rainstorms are few in number and don't last for more than a
few minutes.
Currency: US and Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$) are accepted.
EC and US are exchanged at a fixed rate, US $1 = EC $2.70. ATMs are available.
Getting there: Anguilla is served by Wallblake Airport (via
flights from San Juan, Puerto Rico), in the central part of the island,
as well as by connection from the nearby larger island of Sint Maarten
(either via plane or Ferry). Anguilla requires a passport for all
travelers except Americans who can show a birth certificate and
official photo ID or driver's licence.
Language: The official language of Anguilla is English.
Location: Anguilla is in the Caribbean Islands between the
Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean, east of Puerto Rico, in the
British West Indies.
